SEE YOU AT SUNSET
Fly this flag whilst on anchor to let others know you are inviting them to share sundowners on your boat.
We have found often there are times where you meet people on the beach and have a 5 minute chat, then with all the dynamics of life on the water… you think afterwards, gee I would like to have kept talking with them and invited them over to share a sunset drink. Sometimes on anchor you get to be a few 100 metres from one another, so a flag flying to denote your boat is the designated social venue for the days end, might just save you from having to jump into the tender to issue all these invitiations. Its all just a bit of fun and makes your spreaders look pretty too!
It is generally accepted that guests visiting another boat will bring their own refreshments. Just after sunset, so too is it time to return to your own boat and anchorage. Now this flag does not have a reminder attached, so if you leave the flag flying overnight and get an early knock on the hull this is probably from one of your salty friends who knows its 5o’clock somewhere!
